Frequent retail therapy requires some income to fuel. And people who knows me knows that I don't like to teach tuition, I hate being a sales promoter, scorns being a telemarketeer, and abhorrs selling insurance. But ever since I quite my agency, my income has been pretty irregular. However, I've been getting jobs with pretty decent pay lately, and I hope to land myself in the next one that pays $80 for 15 min of doing almost nothing.
I Recently did a 1-hr stint for $60 with Laura. Though it is not as profitable as modelling, but it's pretty decent for standing around doing nothing. And it's definitely more than what the fucker booker used to pay me after taking ~70% of commission from me, towards the end of my stay there. PLus I need to find ways to fuel my spending and my hobby, so I cannot hiam too much.
I'm thinking of getting this pair of boots http://tw.f2.page.bid.yahoo.com/tw/auction/b32302160?u=a3300575
which costs 599 NT, which is 599 / 20.93 + 6.50 (for shipping n what nots)=$35.12
It's cheap for boots in Singapore, but the most pricey one on that website, but it has the perfect specifications: perfect heel height, perfect pointiness of toe, not to tight at the calf, perfect trunk etc, and it's (fake) leather. Should I get, should I get it????
And hor, if I do get it, should I get the brown or the black one?? brown is sooo in the rage the winter that just passed, but black never goes outta fashion does it? But don't u think the black looks a bit kuku? Sigh, wanna buy 1 shoes also so mahfun, I should just go ESAD... Gan Jionging over Lockhart's essay now, at 5am in the morning. ZZZzzzz.....

Gee I haven't been able to post a picture of my 'FLy me to Neverland' in the post that was supposed to have it. So here's a picture of it.

Oh and I was talking to some friends today, and they've sorta encouraged me that I could post the earrings and what-nots that I've made on my blog, and see who wanna buy. Of course I promise I'll charge minimal. It's really just to fuel my hobby. You guys think it'll be feasible?

My Osama Bai Laden
My mood's been fouled lately, so all I do is study and E-shop, but to cheer me up, this was what Zy did.
Presenting
The adventures of Osama Bai Laden...Directed by: Zy

CLockwise from top left:
1. Sightings of Osama hiding in a cave in Fang bai mountain
2. Facial Hair and dirty face, and growing a bit yellow and smelly...kinda fit the bill
3. Just emerging from his cave. Oh no he look so silly. That Osama Bai Laden
4. He has now rearranged his head gear properly and is looking for mama!

Finally a post
Finally I got down to type in this entry…because I’ve been really busy the past week(s), right up till yesterday. Busy doing things like watching the whole season of Prison Break in the 1 week mid-sem break, completing 3 essays (I don’t know how I did it but I did it), E-shopping around the globe like 10X over. Heeh, but because I’ve always been a careful & Ngiao shopper, I only managed to buy a couple of items which did not quite burn my pocket.
My CNY!
What I really like about Chinese New Year is that the festivities, the looking good and the eating a lot of food, and the holiday, set my parents in a very good mood. My brother gets scolded less for not doing his homework, my mom gets me to put makeup for her, and I could feel that my dad’s really happy that because of the break, I would be staying at home for a longer period of time. After all I’m his lil’ princess ain’t I :) ( Luckily, he doesn’t read my blog…) Being business people, there’s always this very positive element of hope that the new year will be better than the next, which I think makes CNY so enjoyable for us. They aren’t the very staunch Chinese New Year bai nian type, so this year like every year, we didn’t have a specific agenda on who to call on, and we just went to wherever the wind blew us. Hah! This year, we only woke up at around 12pm, and we dilly-dallied till about 3 plus, 4 pm before we headed out to our first destination.
We even had time for some narcissism. I think My brother got excluded partly because he’s too short to squeeze into the picture, unlike my dad, and partly because he was so engrossed in playing with his digimon…

As for my CNY look, I had planned on going for the Princessy look, i.e. wide eyed, long lashes, wavy hair, soft chiffon/cotton empire cut dress with whimsical details like ribbons and frills and lace.

And of course which princess is completed without her favourite lil’ dog with her. See the lil’ whit fur there, that’s Xiaobai being shy. Because he didn’t wash his face for CNY, so he hid part of his face from the camera.

I know the retro look is very in now, but I’ve never really had a thing for baggy clothes and tights. Even though I could carry off the look nicely, because I’ve done a few fashion shows with me in retro garbs, I just wouldn’t think of spending $20 plus on a waistless dress, and another $20 + on a belt for the waistless dress. Like I’ve said, even though I shop around a lot, I’m a careful spender, and not a keen follower of fashion trends. Like real, you might think, but it’s true.
And I created 2 pieces of jewelry for the occasion. The earring was supposedly for my mom, and the necklace, for myself.

Oriental Beauty
The whole piece is set in a light gold base, with ruby crytals, and pearls. I just love pearls. Usually I’d add in some to the jewelries that I make. I always think that the soft luminance on pearls brings a romantic, feminine touch to any piece. It’s for my mother, so it cant look too kiddish. (Take note that I didn’t show my face when I wrote the Oriental charm, oriental beauty thing…haha)
Fly me to Neverland
This is a long long necklace, that I made to complete the CNY princess look. The whole piece had a green-copper base (I’m not sure if it’s copper or brass or whatever, but I just used copper because it doesn’t look gold or silver or, aluminum, and copper is the only other metal that I think I know. Basically the metal has a slight greenish tinge glow to it, and I designed for it to have an antiquated look. Emerald, peridot crystals with 3 faux pearls and a clay flower are fixed to one tail of the butterfly. Butterfly tilts at an angle to look like it’s flying off, flying all princesses with it to their Neverland.

My Valentine’s Day 2007 (Even though it had passed eons ago)
There were no roses, no diamonds(fine, V-days are too trivial for diamonds), no fancy candle-lit dinner, and we wrapped up the day by watching Ghost Rider…haha. But it was lovely nevertheless, it was just so…us.
No rose because I didn’t want them. I am all for good old fashion romance, and I do like an occasional flower, but I don’t exactly fancy overpriced roses that are wrapped in a chapalang of things, so that the end product becomes bigger than my face. Plus, I did not have school today, so the appeal of getting flowers goes down when I cannot haolian. I can’t possibly walk around alone in PGP carrying that tua leng gong when zy’s away at BTC right?
No candlelit dinner because I was too hungry to wait for restaurant food. My zy had actually darlingly booked us seats at The Mussel Guys at vivo city. We got there, the whole place was so packed with hungry people without food in front of them, so we were given the balcony seat, which had a nice scenery overlooking the sea. But there was no breeze, and everyone was packed so closely, that we could almost hear what the couples at the next table were whispering about. The waitress took about 25 min to come and take our order, and when we asked for the menu, we were told that they only had the Valentine’s Day Set.

Just 1 fucking set of chicken/steak, and soup and dessert for everybody need to take so long one meh??
Anyway, we waited for another 15 min or so for the soup/entrees to come, and when it didn’t I kept pestering ZY to cancel our reservations so that we could go to Carls’ Junior. Besides, judging from the serving size at the restaurant, I think we need to order 2 sets each to soothe our hungry stomachs. So off to Carl's Junior we went...

Enormous Burgers, Big Fries, Lotsa Coke!!! And it costs about ¼ of that at the restaurant. But we kinda gobble down our dinner because I wouldn't want my date to be disappointed if we had missed 5 minutes of the movie that he was so excited to watch. And he was just this close to bringing the ghost rider toy at home out for the date. Psst...the other time when we went to watch the superman movie, he wore the superman t-shirt under his blazer, and I had to hold on to his thighs throughout the movie so that he wouldn't burst out of his jacket like superman and start soaring upwards in moments of euphoria.
But really, V day this year was not anyhow as it sounded. FOr one, we actually decide to have a real date, even though we’ve been together for some time already. Which mean no neh neh-ing at each other and no talking endlessly about selling toys and sorts.
That morning, I woke up to handpicked Sins chocolate on the table with a really sweet card written in blue ink for me.

He was so sweet to sneak a gift onto my table, so that when I woke up, I would hug xiaobai and be happy and feel like a 幸福 princess for the rest of the day until he comes and pick me up. Haha.
And I enjoyed the whole ritual of doing make up priming my eyelashes to perfection, curling my hair in hot thongs, and carefully choosing a dress, knowing that it’s all for him.

And he also got us a cake to celebrate our 2nd V-day together. Yumm…he knows me best*

It’s the 1st time I am celebrating a 2nd V-day with somebody. It just goes to show how important he is to me! On the 2nd V-day, it’s a different kind of joy altogether, it’s not the kind whereby your heart flutters when he bashfully tries to give u flowers telling you how pretty you are (well I still do anyway), but the kind when u know that you have found someone who has been there for you unconditionally, and who will be there for u, and who is simply….perfect for me.

Been a tad too busy the past week. The rate in which all the days that required celebrating hit me, left me with no time to blog, or even to load the pictures from my camera onto my blog. PLus I created a couple more jwellery pieces that are sooo pretty for V day and Chinese New Year that I had to display, So stay tuned!
Meanwhile I gotta try to finish the 2843902 things I have to do

I received a Prada as a gift.
For our month-sary today, zhiyou got me the DVD The Devil Wears Prada. I've been dying to watch it since it aired on the big screens last year, but somehow never got the chance to watch. I was, of course, delighted.
I mean well, it is a Prada-something what. PRADA k...SOme more it's the real one. No the pirated version. And a girl doesn't get a Prada everyday right. Hurhurhur...
Budden I've got a test tmr, so I can't watch it right now. Dammit!
On another issue, why issit that all the bustiers, more commonly known as corsets, that are sold in Singapore are so frigging Expensive. And FUGLY. Who on earth would buy a fugly yet expensive bustier to show off. They are either in the ah ma beige colour or they are so short that they ride up so high that it becomes vulgar. The ones from WAREHOUSE (The expensive shop that is always beside topshop) are so expensive and fragile looking that you wouldn't wear them to do anything. ANYTHING at all. In case a sequin or something falls out.
Gee...I'm forced to out-source online. More online shoppings ahead...

I can't remember in my previous posts whether I mentioned that I had the prettiest groupmates for a science module this sem. No doubt, they're all from Arts, except for the guy in my project, but I prefer to talk about pretty girls. Let's just say checking out guys is not my forte. *LAUGHS
I love to look at pretty girls, it seems like if I am surrounded by pretty girls more often, I'd be able to absorb all their prettiness and radiate it myself someday. But that's besides the point. We went to zoo a couple of days back. I had pontang one lesson to go zoo for the project k. Anyway some pictures for the blog.

"Sian...which animal to look at?"

Kawaii~

Brave me...only because these are fake.

Preparing...preparing...

and *jump for the camera!! I was wearing heels FYI...

Alamak, we jumped before the timer go off.

again silly me got too excited and jumped way before the timer went off. URGHH!!!
